PassVerita terms of use

Version 2026-10 · draft subject to legal review

These terms explain the rules for using PassVerita. By creating an account you accept them together with the privacy policy.

Who we are

PassVerita (passverita.com) is a private technology service. It is not an official system of the European Union or any government, it is not a public register, and it does not replace official documents or legal acts.

The service

PassVerita lets you create the Home Passport of a property, record works, documents, warranties, equipment and maintenance, discover professionals and transfer the passport on a sale. The Home Passport organises information: it is not a valuation of the property or legal, tax or technical advice.

Your account

You must provide accurate details and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account and must have legal capacity to enter a contract. You can delete your account at any time, as set out in the privacy policy.

What you record

You are responsible for the content you upload (photos, documents, notes). Only upload what you have the right to share and that does not break the law or third-party rights. The Home Passport is private by default; you decide who to invite. You keep the rights to your content and give us only the licence needed to store and display it within the service.

One property, one passport

Each property can only have one Home Passport, identified by its address or registry data. If the property already exists you can request access and you may be asked for proof of ownership. The “not verified” status means ownership has not yet been confirmed from documents. You must not register properties that are not yours or try to gain access by deceptive means.

Transfer on sale

The owner can transfer the Home Passport to the new owner with a secure invitation, choosing which sections pass. Personal notes stay with the person transferring. Transfer does not prove ownership or replace the legal documents of the sale.

Professionals and Trust Score

The contract for a job is directly between the homeowner and the professional; PassVerita is not a party and charges no commission on jobs. The Trust Score summarises evidence available on the platform; it is not a guarantee of quality or a recommendation. Paid plans never award points. Professionals must only record real work and truthful information.

Directory profiles

Some profiles are created from public information, with the source and date shown, and have no Trust Score. The professional can claim the profile or ask for removal via privacy@passverita.com. You may add professionals you have worked or will work with, provided the details are true; such profiles stay private until claimed or approved.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service for unlawful purposes, publish false or misleading content (including fake reviews), try to access other users’ data, bypass security measures, collect data automatically without permission or harm the service. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

Intellectual property

PassVerita, its brand, design and software belong to us or are used under licence. You may not copy or reuse them without permission. Demo data and the Example Home are fictional.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of information recorded by users or professionals. This does not limit rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will show the date and version and, for material changes, give notice before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
